dad taught me that I can do anything I want. I want my college degree." --
Tammy"After I graduated from high school, I held a lot of jobs. I was a waitress, a maid, a nurse's aid, a store clerk. I did kitchen work and a lot of partying. Today as the single mom of two kids, I want to be able to earn a living and get off public assistance. I am more than halfway to completing my associate's degree in human services, and I feel really proud of what I've been able to learn and the skills I've acquired since I started college. College has given me confidence in myself, and I have growing sense that I can be what I want to be. I'm looking forward to the future and I know a college degree will help me find a good job." |
